For Tuesday's Class

If you have not turned in your 2nd paper, you will have a slight reprieve.  I will allow you to turn in your paper late if you do the following:

1) Bring your paper to me.  Make an appointment where we can discuss your paper before Spring Break.

2) Bring your paper to the writing center.  Have them go over it with you and discuss what you can do to revise your paper

This paper will count as your "Revision" paper, so you will not be able to revise any past or future papers.  You must turn in this revision before the next paper is due, so it must be turned on before Spring Break.


For Today's Class, we will be researching songs for our next research paper.  Here are a few sites that might help you find songs:

- Wikipedia: A really good resource to find information about popular culture, like songs and covers and remixes of your song
- Youtube: You can use youtube to find songs that you might be interested in analyzing.  Consider using a download program (you can find a few on the web) to download music
    - Type your song and "Triple J", and you might be able to find really good songs
- Coverville: A good resource for finding covers of songs, with a searchable database and covers based around albums (like Michael Jackson's Thriller) or artists (like Whitney Houston)
- The Original Hip Hop Lyrics: Lyrics for almost all rap songs
- Weird Al Yankovick might have done a cover of your song in the form of polka, if you're looking for something different.
