Final Exam: Questions
Final Exam:
1) Go around the class. Find a song from someone who is not in your class. Review their song by considering the following (at least 2 paragraphs):
a) Consider your audience. Would people enjoy this song? Why or why not?
b) How does the song employ Logos, Ethos, and Pathos to deliver a mood? What is that mood?
c) Overall, would you recommend this particular combination of songs to other people who would enjoy this type of music? Why or why not?
We will do two rounds of this, so everyone should at least have 2 reviews from other people. If they do not, we'll go a third round.
2) Read over the reviews about your mix. Respond to the Reviews. Discuss your intent with your particular mix. What choices did you make? What choices did you not make? What problems did you run into? What did you think this mix would be like initially? What was it actually like? Overall, what is it like to be an artist?

For the Final Exam
I will be in my office from 10:30-12:30. Please feel free to come by if you're having any problems or any questions about the final.
1) Here is an example of a mix that someone asked me to post:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=BjwE7_RWa5w
Note that I'm not wanting it to be this professional. This person took months to put this together. You have less than a few days. 1-2 minute mix is more than appropriate.
2) Here's the link to download Audacity and LAME mp3 encoder (so you can export the file as an MP3)
3) Here's a "how to" tutorial on how to edit files using Audacity:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbqJVC6kQ50
4) Remember that you need to bring 1) any papers or notes that you think might be helpful, 2) something to play your music mix as well as something to listen to your mix 3) Pen + Paper.
Your final will be Wednesday, 11:45-1:45 at FH213A. I will see you there.
