By today, you should decide on the album you wish to review. This assignment is unique in that you are trying to pair music with a place. A good way of thinking about it is that your music should be the soundtrack of the place. They should be complimentary, like a red wine with steak or peanut butter and jelly.
Remember that you need to write for a an audience who 1) are roughly your age, 2) from Florence or the surrounding area and 3) someone who may be familiar with the genre of music, but not necessarily the musician.
If you haven't found a place yet, do a google search and find parks or landmarks or museums, or other places you could go for this assignment. Ask the tutors, who have been living in Florence longer than I have, what would be the best places to go.
You don't need anything signed by me today, but you do need a 1 page draft by tomorrow. This one-page draft should just be a basic description of what you think is important background material for the album or for the place you wish to go. You can use Wikipedia as your starting point, but it DOES NOT COUNT AS A SOURCE. Print out your sources, for the time being, and use in-text citations (see http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/747/2/) to cite the material in your review.
